What to know about Microneedling in Nedlands
How Does Skin Needling Work?
The skin responds to the tiny punctures by creating more collagen and elastin, critical skin components that contribute to the skin’s structure and function. As collagen and elastin naturally decline with sun exposure and age, promoting an increase in these components can lead to healthier, firmer, younger looking skin.
How does my skin type affect treatment intervals?
Different skin types heal at different rates, which impacts how frequently you can safely undergo treatments. This is crucial for optimal results and preventing complications.
How does seasonal timing affect results?
Since sun exposure should be avoided after treatment, considering the season and timing of your treatments can significantly impact your results and recovery.
What products should I avoid before treatment?
Certain skincare products and medications can affect your skin's response to microneedling and should be discontinued before treatment.
What's the difference between professional and at-home needle depths?
Professional devices use needles between 1-3mm deep, while at-home devices should only use 0.25-0.55mm depths. Using deeper needles at home can cause serious damage to your skin.
